Each month, the DDP shares a list of Downtown Hot Spots from metro Detroit local. Here are some of the favorite Downtown Spots from the DDP’s data director, Josh Long.

  1. I end up at 7 Greens on Library street a lot at lunch. A good salad is the fuel I need.
  2. Queens Bar on Grand River and Farmer is my go to for Happy Hour drinks
  3. Cannelle- The pastries are the best. I simply love this place and my wife loves it even more.
  4. Campus Martius Park- nothing beats grabbing food from a local restaurant or food truck and enjoying the sun in the park over lunch in the summer.
  5. Boll Family YMCA- great community atmosphere and you can’t beat the convenience. It’s easy to fit in a quick 1 hour workout and you can even take the People Mover there.
  6. Comerica Park- during the week, if there is an afternoon game, I like to grab a sandwich and then try to catch some of the game from outside the stadium. There is a spot where you can look through the bars near the center field fountain. The location is fun to be amongst the crowd.
