Downtown Detroit Partnership Signature Events are produced in their entirety by the DDP team throughout the year to convene more than 2,000 business executives, corporate partners, thought leaders, change-makers and government officials annually to share DDP's impact across Downtown Detroit and beyond.
This summer, the DDP invites you to Party in the Park, a fundraiser that will benefit public spaces in Downtown Detroit, operated by DDP. In continuing our efforts to connect people, places and parks; we are excited to once again convene leaders throughout the public, private and philanthropic sectors. The 20th Annual Detroit Tree Lighting is on Friday, November 17 from 5:00 p.m. to midnight at the award-winning Campus Martius Park! Enjoy spectacular live entertainment, Olympic figure skaters, and award-winning local performers and skating clubs. The night also features amazing lighting attractions, horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday shopping, hot chocolate giveaways, food trucks, visits from Santa and much more!

For nearly 40 years, this event has kicked off the holiday season with a celebration of our city and DDP’s work. Detroit Aglow provides an unforgettable experience and exclusive networking with a dynamic audience of community, business and government leaders. Funds raised at Detroit Aglow strengthen DDP’s mission to foster a more sustainable, equitable and vibrant Downtown Detroit. DDP holds its Annual Meeting to showcase the accomplishments and contributions of the staff, board members, sponsors and community members. This popular event, that has welcomed as many as 900 attendees, allows the DDP to celebrate its members and our collective commitment to Downtown Detroit.
The BIZ hosts regular events and meetings to bring together Downtown businesses, organizations, and institutions and to tell the story of Downtown Detroit.
