Show Your Love for Detroit!

Why Valentine’s Day Matters for Downtown Detroit Businesses

by Isaac Douglas, Planning + Business Engagement Manager

Thank goodness for Valentine’s Day – a weekend of love and light during a slower season that drives foot traffic, increases visibility, and encourages spending during a period where businesses are experiencing less engagement.

Since its launch last year, the Downtown Detroit Partnership Small Business team has been on a mission to promote Downtown as a destination to “shop, dine, and discover.” Our team is not shy about rolling up our sleeves to not only elevate the heartbeat of Downtown Detroit – its businesses – but also help guide experiences for visitors and residents alike!

That’s why we have curated this unique list to celebrate with your sweetheart or gather with your friends to try someplace new. Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to think outside the box and show your love for Detroit at the same time.
