This June, Downtown Detroit Partnership proudly co-hosted the 5th International Placemaking Week with Project for Public Spaces, welcoming a sold-out gathering of 642 placemakers from 177 cities across 12 countries to Downtown Detroit.
The conference showcased Detroit as a global leader in placemaking, highlighting the city’s remarkable public spaces, innovative partnerships and the organizations working every day to create vibrant, people-centered places. Throughout three days of tours, workshops and discussions, attendees exchanged ideas, explored best practices and experienced firsthand the work shaping Detroit’s continued transformation.
