Detroit’s premiere benefit supports the ongoing growth of Downtown
DETROIT (November 19, 2024) – The Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP) will host its annual Detroit Aglow presented by Amazon, a benefit for the DDP, on Monday, November 25 from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. at MGM Grand Detroit.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of DDP’s highly anticipated event, that celebrates the organization’s mission to make Downtown Detroit a great place to live, work, and enjoy. Detroit Aglow guests are treated to festive networking, specialty cocktails, live entertainment, and a traditional Thanksgiving-style dinner. The theme for this year’s anniversary is Aglow for 40 Years: Celebrating Connections.
“The DDP is proud to convene Metro Detroit’s civic, corporate, and community leaders to help kick-off the holiday season,” said DDP CEO Eric B. Larson. “We are excited to work collectively to continually grow our urban core into a world-class Downtown that is clean, safe, and welcoming for all to enjoy.”
Over the past 40 years, Downtown Detroit has witnessed incredible growth, a direct result of the public, private, and philanthropic sectors successfully working in collaboration. The DDP has been a part of that success by working in collaboration with local leaders to help move Downtown forward for more than 100 years.
The event will include live entertainment provided by The Next Generation Funk Brothers. Signature cocktails compliments of Casamigos: Mistletoe Margarita and the Naughty and Nice Negroni.
Tickets and tables are selling fast. To RSVP, visit Eventbrite. Proceeds help to support the DDP’s transformative work that fuels an economically strong and thriving Downtown. *Update, tickets are now sold out. Those who would like to support the DDP can make a donation at DowntownDetroit.org/Give.
