WALK: My favorite walk: Spirit Plaza up Woodward Esplanade to Campus Martius Park to Grand Circus Park East and West to Beacon Park to Capitol Park back to Campus Martius Park. 2 miles done, boom!

DRINKS & ATOMOSPHERE: D’Mongo’s: only open on Friday and Saturday nights. You can’t explain it, you just have to experience it. Proprietor, Larry D’Mongo needs no introduction because he knows everyone and everything about Detroit history. Try the “Detroit Brown”. https://www.travelchannel.com/videos/cafe-dmongos-speakeasy-0179889

GROCERIES: City Market: How they pack so much in that little space is magic. Need a craft beer, birthday candles, fresh fruit & veg, grab and go homemade meatloaf dinner, toilet paper, yogurt, they’ve got it!  https://downtowndetroit.org/news-insights/city-market-generations-of-hospitality/

VIEWS & BREWS: The Monarch Club: Take the elevator up to the top floor and cheers to the most amazing views in town, especially considering the Metropolitan building sat vacant for almost 40 years! “Speramus Meliora Resurget Cineribus”

SWEET TREAT: Milk & Froth: Artisanal ice cream and waffle cones. Stop by the Buhl building or catch their food truck around town.
