The Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP) is thrilled to have the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix in Downtown Detroit and to serve as a strategic partner for the Grand Prix by providing critical year-round strategic and fiduciary support. Annually, our city welcomes visitors from around the world over the race weekend and the DDP team will be out maintaining our public spaces and providing critical assistance and support to visitors and residents alike.

Entry Requirements
INCREASED SECURITY MEASURES
Guests may be screened prior to entering the venue by security personnel using a hand-held wand device or a walk-through metal detector. All bags are subject to search. Any items on prohibited list, are illegal or considered suspicious are subject to confiscation and guests could be denied entry.
DETROIT GRAND PRIX PROHIBITED ITEMS
- Weapons of any kind, including but not limited to, pocketknives, firearms and ammunition
- Unmanned aerial devices such as drones, remote piloted aircraft & similar remote-controlled devices
- Rollerblades, hoverboards, skateboards, bicycles
- Glass bottles or open containers
- Alcoholic beverages
- Illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia
- Video recording devices, camera stands, tripods
- Large buggy strollers & hard sided wagons
- Ladders, scaffolding, platforms or other structures
- Chairs of any type or style
- Samples, stickers, or flyers for distribution
- Flags, banners, flagpoles
- Golf carts, scooters (except mobility aid devices)
- Animals (other than assistance dogs) Detroit Grand Prix reserves the right to remove an assistance dog that impedes the enjoyment of guests or is considered a threat to others. Assistance dogs must remain on leash or tether. Any item that may pose a safety hazard to or diminish the enjoyment of event by others may be refused at the discretion of security and management. Prohibited items are subject to change without notice. There are no provisions for checking and holding prohibited items. Items cannot be left at or around the gates. Items left unattended will be removed and discarded.

- Coolers and bags measuring 12”x 12”x 12” or less
- Seat cushions 18” or less
- Umbrellas, umbrella strollers, collapsible canvas wagons NOTE – Umbrellas and umbrella strollers cannot be used in grandstands, on viewing platform, or in structures.
NEW RESTRICTED ACCESS TO PARKING STRUCTURES
For the safety of our guests, and to reduce pedestrian traffic within garages, an admission ticket, or credential is required to enter any garage within the venue.
Free public viewing is not permitted from floors within parking structures.

- No rain checks or exchanges given.
- All sales are final. No refunds.
- Ticket upgrades are at the discretion of the Box Office.

- Tickets and other admission materials may not be used for advertising, promotions (including contests and sweepstakes) or other trade purposes, without the prior express written consent of Detroit Grand Prix.
- Tickets may not be resold on the premises.
- Detroit Grand Prix is not responsible for unauthorized duplication of Print-at-Home tickets. Venue reserves the right to refuse entry into the event.
- Detroit Grand Prix reserves the right to remove any guest from the event, without refund, if their behavior is offensive or poses a hazard to others.
Public Transit in Downtown Detroit
With downtown road closures in effect, attendees are encouraged to utilize alternative transportation options such as the QLINE, Detroit People Mover, e-scooters, MoGo bicycles and rideshare apps.
Visitors can utilize regional transit services such as the D2A2 bus connecting Downtown Detroit and Ann Arbor as well as the new DAX (Detroit Air Express) bus, offering service between Downtown Detroit and Detroit Metro Airport.
Detroit People Mover
The Detroit People Mover will operate 24 hours a day, beginning 7:00 a.m. Thursday, 4/25 through 12:00 a.m. Sunday, 4/28 with trains up to every 5 minutes.
- All 13 stations will be open for convenient travel to and from the Draft activation sites, as well as restaurants, lodging, parking and easy transfers between DDOT and the QLINE.
QLine
The QLINE will run as scheduled with short service routes during the event build-out as referenced below with higher frequency service during the event.
- QLINE Hours:
- Monday – Saturday: 08:00am – Midnight
- Sunday: 08:00am – 09:00pm
- QLINE Short Service Modifications
- Visitors will be able to either walk to entrance points down Woodward through the DDP-hosted Draft Day in the D activation or can transfer to the People Mover at Grand Circus Park.
Bus Services
SMART will operate park-and-ride services Downtown from various points in the Detroit Metro area including from Great Lakes Crossing, several Meijer locations, and Oakland County Community College. SMART's FAST service will also be operating to downtown on Gratiot, Woodward, and Michigan Avenue. More details on other locations, times, and frequency will be released closer to the event.
RTA will continue to operate both the D2A2 and the newly launched DAX Airport Express bus route. Details on route schedules can be found on the RTA website at https://rtamichigan.org/.
The normal DDOT services will continue to operate as scheduled but with modified Downtown routes due to road closures.
Ride Share
Planning ahead is strongly encouraged, as there will be a high volume of traffic in the city, and many ride hailing services will be at capacity. Scheduling your rides in advance or utilizing public transportation options in Detroit are highly recommended.
Bike Share/Rental
MoGo
Detroit’s bike share system has 620 bikes and 75 stations in 6 Detroit metro cities. Unlimited 30-minute ride cycles (after initial payment). There are countless MoGo stations around Detroit including Campus Martius Park, Woodward and Fort, Larned and Woodward, and the Detroit Riverwalk. MoGo operates in 10 neighborhoods in the greater Downtown area of Detroit, as well as Northwest Detroit, Ferndale, Oak Park, Huntington Woods, Berkley, and Royal Oak.

Parking in Downtown Detroit is made easy for race fans, with options like street parking and numerous parking structures. To find up-to-date parking availability and pricing, download the ParkWhiz app. For on-demand street parking payment, the ParkDetroit app is recommended.
