Downtown Detroit Partnership Leads RenCen Panel Discussion, Unveils Updated Strategic Framework and Announces Small Business Program at Spring Forum: A Partnership Update
The Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP) introduced significant updates to its strategic framework, announced a new Small Business Program, and led a panel discussion on the future of the RenCen at its Spring Forum: A Partnership Update, held at Eastern Market’s Shed 3 the morning of Thursday, March 6, 2025. Previously known as the DDP Annual Meeting, this event highlighted the organization’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Detroit’s economic landscape, support local businesses, and drive urban innovation.
Attendees enjoyed exclusive networking, a continental breakfast, and were among the first to receive the DDP’s 2024 Annual Report.
A Look Back on 2024
In 2024, the DDP co-led major infrastructure projects, including the I-375 Peer Review and I-75 Cap Study. The organization also played a central role in hosting the NFL Draft at Campus Martius Park and surrounding DDP-managed public spaces. Additionally, the DDP expanded its data program, tracking nearly $3 billion in Downtown investments to support current and emerging initiatives.
Launch of the Small Business Program
A key announcement from the event was the launch of the DDP Small Business Program, designed to support and amplify the voices of local business owners. This initiative extends the work of the Downtown Detroit Business Improvement Zone and the DDP’s Urban Innovation team, ensuring that Downtown remains a thriving economic hub.
