DINNER

Wright & Co. – I still remember when this spot opened, and I have never left disappointed. The drinks, food and atmosphere are all on point.

Lumen Detroit – I took my Goddaughter here for a date and we left full – our tummies and our hearts. We especially loved the pretzel! It was also nice to be able to enjoy the weather with the nano doors open. Having Beacon Park right there allowed for extended outdoor time in the city.

Penny Red’s – The best chicken and biscuits I have had in Downtown. You can eat at The Brakeman, which is a great family-friendly spot. What makes it even better is that both my boys devour it, and they make for great leftovers.

DRINKS

Bad Luck Bar – this is a perfect first stop for ladies’ night, just make sure you eat beforehand, because the drinks are delicious and strong. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable and make spot on recommendations when you’re not feeling decisive.

DINNER & DRINKS WITH A VIEW

Joe Muer Seafood – this is a Downtown staple that everyone should try at least once. The seafood melts in your mouth and the views of the water are tremendous. One of my favorites here are the Oysters Rockefeller.

The Monarch Club – this is a perfect mix of metropolitan and Midwest. The vibes are cool, and the mood is welcoming, the perfect combination for a great night out in the most beautiful city in the world.

DESSERTS

Cannelle Detroit – this patisserie is an excellent place to have a meeting (work and personal), to read a good book, or to just enjoy a hot beverage and sweet treat.
