Downtown Detroit’s lunchtime food trucks are back: What’s new this year

Detroit Free Press – Downtown Street Eats popular lineup of lunchtime food trucks in downtown Detroit kicks off on Monday  for the 2022 season at Cadillac Square and the Woodward Esplande. 

Now in its 10th season, the 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday event features a rotating lineup of more than 80 food trucks and carts. Food trucks will also be available during special events.

There’s a host of returning food truck offerings serving everything from seafood to burgers, pizzas and mac and cheese. New to the downtown scene is Khalipha’s Mobile Kitchen with halal beef ribs and lamb shanks and the Egg Hunt food truck with chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, breakfast burritos and biscuits and gravy options. The event is sponsored by the Downtown Detroit Partnership and runs through mid-October.
