- Downtown Detroit Restaurant: Le Suprême. If you’re like me, there are two things that set a restaurant apart: the right atmosphere and the right bread! Le Suprême definitely has both!
- Downtown Detroit Coffee Shop: Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters. Not only do they have excellent coffee, but they also have amazing cheesecake. The tiramisu and Oreo cheesecakes are favorites of mine, but you can’t go wrong with any flavor! Plus, if you aren’t a coffee drinker, they have one of the best hot chocolates I’ve ever had.
- Downtown Detroit Lunch Spot: Mootz Pizzeria and Bar. Part of what makes a pizza dinner complete is the appetizer, and Mootz has amazing garlic knots that will start your meal off right. Mootz has a really great variety of New York-style pizzas, so there is an option for everyone – including gluten and vegan crusts!
- Downtown Detroit Retailer: Warby Parker. If you are looking for a stylish new pair of prescription glasses, summer shades, or even blue light glasses for the office, then Warby Parker is the way to go. Their team is so helpful and will guide you to find the perfect frames.
- Downtown Detroit Experience: Catching a concert at a Downtown venue. One of my favorite ways to spend a night Downtown with friends is to go to a concert at one of the great Downtown venues like Saint Andrew’s Hall or The Fillmore Detroit. When you pair a concert with other hot spots, you’re sure to have a Downtown Detroit experience to remember!
- Downtown Detroit Hangout: The Guardian Building Lobby. Did you know the Guardian Building is a National Historic Landmark? The building is a stunning, art-deco masterpiece, and its gorgeous lobby acts as the perfect spot to meet up with a friend, grab a coffee, and even grab a Detroit souvenir.
- Downtown Detroit Activity: Catching a Detroit Tigers game at Comerica Park. With spring around the corner, I can’t wait to get back to the ballpark. You’ll definitely find me at DDP’s Opening Day Tailgate Party to start the season!
- Downtown Detroit Scenery/Outdoor: Campus Martius Park. No matter if it’s winter, spring, summer, or fall, I love spending time outdoors in the heart of Downtown. From ice skating to soaking up the sun during a lunch break, it’s a go-to spot during my week. There’s a reason that it’s been the #1 Public Square on USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Award for two years! (And you can vote for it to be named #1 again this year here until April 7!)
