Downtown Detroit Hot Spots

Hello, Detroit enthusiasts, friends, and esteemed partners of the Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP)!

I’m Sharon Garcia, Vice President of Marketing and Communications at DDP, and it’s been a joy to share the vibrant stories of our Downtown businesses, partners, and the ways in which the DDP Makes It Happen Together. As summer winds down, I find myself dreaming of the ultimate self-care Saturday right here in Detroit. Here’s my perfect itinerary:

  1. Start with a Sip ☕
Kick off your day with a coffee from Mad Cap Coffee Company on Farmer St. Their brick alleyway, Parker’s Alley, is the perfect backdrop for a hip and energetic vibe.
  2. Ride and Rejuvenate 🚲
Hop on a MoGo bike and head over to Citizen Yoga on Library Street. A restorative yoga session is the ideal way to calm both mind and spirit.
  3. Indulge in Serenity 🛁
Elevate your relaxation at Immerse Spa in MGM Grand. It’s the ultimate destination for unwinding and pampering yourself.
  4. Savor and Learn 🍷
Enhance your wine knowledge with a tasting session at the award-winning Pur Vin. It’s a delightful way to refine your palate and enjoy some exceptional wines.
  5. Dine and Delight 🍽️
Enjoy a late lunch at Parc, the chic open-air restaurant in Campus Martius Park. Soak up the atmosphere, people-watch, and admire the fountain as you savor your meal.
  6. Parkside Leisure 🐾
Take a leisurely stroll to Capitol Park and watch the dogs play in the dog park. It’s a great way to unwind and enjoy some playful moments.
  7. Finish with Flair 🌟
Conclude your day with a visit to the Shinola Hotel lobby. The stunning sequins tapestry is always a sight to behold and brings a touch of joy.

I hope this self-care Saturday in the D inspires you to relax and refresh as much as it does for me!
