Hey Detroit! It’s Ebony JJ Curry and I am a Detroit girl through and through! To live, work, eat, and play in downtown Detroit has literally been such a monumental experience for me. When it comes to downtown you get the best of all worlds – my worlds consist of all things style, laid-back yet sophisticated vibes, fun, lively, and just an overall good time. Here’s some of the favorite spots that fits in my world here in Downtown:
- Downtown Detroit Restaurant:
- The Stratler. It’s a French-American vibe – the food is amazing and the staff are grade-A and not to mention they never miss when it comes to crafting the perfect French75 which is my all-time favorite cocktail.
- Downtown Detroit Cocktail Lounge:
- Monarch Club. Such a sophisticated yet laid-back and stylish vibe – they just get me! The drinks are impeccable, and the views are amazing.
- Downtown Detroit Lunch Spot:
- Central Kitchen. This is my go-to lunch spot from the music to the service, well crafted drinks and can’t forget about their addicting rosemary fries and garlic aioli!
- Downtown Detroit Retailer:
- Spectacles. For decades Ms. Zana just has gotten the concept of style and honey, I must confess that I am a true fashion connoisseur and a style influencer, so Spectacles just adds to my flair!
- Downtown Detroit Experience:
- Summertime in Downtown Detroit is an entire experience within itself honey!
- Downtown Detroit Hotel:
- The Shinola Hotel. With both San Morello and the Evening Bar this is my go-to hotel right on Woodward that offers me everything I may think I need!
- Downtown Detroit Activity:
- From concerts to plays, Lions games, comedy shows, all of the bars and restaurants, but nothing beats the spirit of our people – there’s nothing like Detroiters.
- Downtown Detroit Scenery/Outdoor:
- The Belt. Such a dope outdoor vibe through all seasons.
