Successful Activations During Shop Downtown Detroit
Downtown Detroit came alive on Saturday, September 27 during Shop Downtown Detroit — an exclusive one-day event planned in conjunction with Detroit Month of Design. The DDP Small Business Team collaborated with three Downtown businesses, thanks to the sponsorship from Diversified Members Credit Union and in partnership with Bedrock and Design Core Detroit.
Three businesses in and around Capitol Park showcased their creativity and collaboration.

- Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters – limited-run DDP-blend coffee bags were given away, drawing strong foot traffic and connecting visitors with one of Downtown’s signature coffee shops.
- Detroit City FC Club Shop – the exclusive DDP x DCFC collab tees was a huge hit, showing a strong demand for local partnerships and collectible items.
- Bastille Bar – live urban violinist, Kym Brady, drew a steady crowd to Bastille Bar for a uniquely Detroit street-side musical experience and adding to the day’s festive atmosphere.
The activations underscored the power of collaboration between DDP, local businesses, partners, and the community to drive visibility, increase engagement, and strengthen Downtown’s identity as a hub for shopping, dining, and cultural experiences.
