Detroit Free Press Marathon – Kia Conquered Afterparty
October 18 @ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm EDT
Celebrate race day with us and our friends at the Detroit Free Press Marathon at the Kia Conquered Afterparty, the official post-race celebration in the heart of Downtown Detroit.
Taking place Sunday, Oct. 18, at Campus Martius Park and Cadillac Square, Kia Conquered brings runners, supporters and spectators together following Sunday’s race events. Located just about a block from the finish line, it’s a convenient place to meet up with friends and family, refuel after the race and celebrate the day’s accomplishments.
The celebration will feature:
- Food trucks
- Live music from Detroit band Lyrical Heat
- An on-stage awards ceremony for race winners
- Photo opportunities throughout the event grounds
- Beer and other beverages
- Nearby Charity Village at Fort and Griswold, featuring hospitality tents from several of the marathon’s charity partners
Want to be part of race day? Volunteer and join thousands of runners, volunteers, and supporters throughout Downtown Detroit: https://detroitmarathon.enmotive.com/events/volunteer/2026-detroit-free-press-marathon
Kia Conquered runs from 8 a.m.–3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18. The event is free and open to the public.
