The Downtown Detroit Business Improvement Zone’s (BIZ) sustained success and stakeholder support has become a best practice model for our neighboring communities -- inspiring the exploration of new BIZ’s, and the Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP) is pleased to support our Rivertown neighbors.
As the experienced nonprofit manager of the Downtown Detroit BIZ, DDP is providing technical assistance for the Rivertown BIZ initiative. DDP and its nonprofit peers in Rivertown, Jefferson East, Inc. and the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, enjoy a longstanding partnership. Leveraging the infrastructure of the Downtown BIZ, DDP delivers Ambassador services in the Rivertown neighborhood on a fee-for-services basis. The proposed Rivertown BIZ offers the potential for steady funding for the continuation and expansion of these services and others in Rivertown.
